Photo Walk [For Y]

Sometimes, when I don’t have the words of comfort that I’m looking for, I take pictures instead. This is for you, Y, and your friend. I wanted to take pictures of flowers for you, and I changed my mind at the last minute. I took a few pics of the riverside instead.

I hope you like them. xo

These were like bursts of energy and love B. I love this effect of smeary and clear so perfectly painted in and with light!!! Super cool and I thank you!!! Here is a link for a reading from some of my FAV God sources. The article/reading is long but jammed packed and very appropo to your heart and field. Consider when you need a break to snack on it with a cuppa something else to sip. Enjoy your day. Hey, maybe we can meet this summer? Maybe. Love ya!!!! here http://elijahlist.com/words/display_word.html?ID=12185

    • Thanks for that link. :0) The three fissures- interesting stuff. (I can think of a few more fissures than that…heheh.) I would love to meet up this summer but I’m afraid there’s a short list that I have to meet up with first- I have a few friends who have wanted to meet me for several years now (life keeps “happening”) and there’s another setback- I may be working throughout the whole summer. At this point, I’m not even seeing a summer break, unless I pull off a Hurculean feat of completing 3 months of work in one- not likely. (This goes back to the ‘Drowning in schoolwork’ thread.) Anyway, I do hope you have a great day too. As for me, I’ll be doing more Public Speaking, and pre-calculus. No playtime for me. [insert tantrum here]

  2. Love the effects on these! How do you do this! 🙂

    • Thanks, Amy. 🙂 It’s a lens that I use called A Lensbaby (Double Glass Optics) that actually bends and moves in a 360 degree motion. You can turn it in any direction- this makes the focal point stand out while blurring and pulling the rest of the image off to the sides as seen in my pics. I used to think people did it in Photoshop but when I knew it was an actual lens and that it was done IN-camera- I knew I had to get one. I love my Lensbaby! It makes you see the world in a different way entirely. (You can shoot video with it too.) By the way, I made a tutorial the other day (one of the last posts) that completely explains the process I sue when I edit my pics: layering, adding textures, photography basics, etc. Although I made it for Muffins and Mocha, I thought of you also when I made it. It’s there for you if you ever want to study it. xo

  3. There’s an antique quality to these images…perhaps it is the lens?

    • A bit, yes. Over the years I’ve developed a gritty, darker, antiquated style through my editing too though. Many of the pros (years ago) would say that grain and blur had no place in “good images” so…I set out to deliberately muck up my photos- increasing the blur and grain in Photoshop. When I found the lens that could add massive blur and warping IN camera- I was in love…heheh… now it’s my trademark style. (I didn’t set out to make it my style, it just kept turning out that way.) Thanks for popping in today. xo
