  2. what kind of birds are they?

    January 21, 2016 at 9:10 pm

    • I think they’re just your standard run-of-the-mill blackbirds. I was pulling up in my driveway and happened to notice a ton of them sitting on a phone wire. (Luckily, I had my camera with me.) Grabbed a few shots before they all flew away…

  4. Beautiful!! The photo AND the selfie 🙂

    • Aww, thanks, Amy. :0) Can you believe I was blasted with a full-blown migraine in that pic? I was with Josh at the doctor’s office fighting back the urge to spraypaint the doc’s furniture a violent shade of bile…heheh…

  5. Whoa! I have a lot of catching up to do! Missed so many of you posts! I’ll be back!! ❤

    January 28, 2016 at 1:47 pm

    • Well the good thing is, I only post about twice per month anymore, so you haven’t missed THAT many. ;0) I’ve been really missing you lately! Mommy duties come first- always. I hope you and your li’l posse are A-OK. Isn’t it funny how life can take you for a wild spin and before you know it, you’re a completely different person in a completely different life?! I’m so happy for you, Amy. You deserve all the happiness in the world. You’re little guy is going to be SOOO smart…

  6. Fabulous photo, I just love the focus and the blur, it’s just perfect!
And I love your hair colour!

    • You should totally check out the Lensbaby, O. it gives each pic a super-mega blur (in-camera)- no Photoshopping necessary. I get “creepy” a lot to describe its effects, but to me, that’s a compliment. 😉 I imagine that with your writing style and your visual aesthetics too- you’d create some truly awesome work with a Lensbaby. I’ll probably be retiring mine near August, when I re-up and get a new rig. (If I’m able to do that, I’ll give you this one.)

      • I recently saw Nikon p900 and I am in love, I am seriously thinking of chipping away at my savings and buying it, for that zoom alone. It feels like I can literally be on the Moon! I will check out Lensbaby too, because my current camera don;t handle my ideas very well, I am just worried about in country availability. I am hesitant to order online, because my shipment may get stolen :/

        January 29, 2016 at 7:34 am

      • Wowww…just checked it out and that zoom is crazy! The moon shots are incredible. I know what you’re saying about stolen parcels. That really sucks but it does happen. I would definitely save up for that Nikon if I were you. Your photography is amazing and I think you should do more in that area. ;0)

      • Think I am going to do just that! If not, I think my investment should go into a tripod, to be honest. I have been wanting proper self portraits for years and am tired of “how DO YOU bend your hands that way?” questions from the innocent bystanders!
On a side note, I did start a photo project ending of 2015, don;t know if you have seen it? Not much stuff shared so far, but I will get there!
Oh, and totally unrelated, but I compiled my poems in a book and am waiting for a proof copy now before I show it to the world, but the point is, I will need some contact info of yours so I can send it your way 🙂

      • Hey O, my apologies fore not getting back to you. Life almost ate me recently (from every side) and I’ve gone through some unbelievable situations lately. Things are finally looking up again though, thankfully.

About your book project: let me know how that’s going! I’d like to see what you’ve got going on- it sounds awesome. And, about that book of poems, a very big congratz! I’m so glad that you’ve decided to go forward there and publish your work. it would be unfair to the world for you not to, and I mean that. Hope things are well on your end. 😉 Let me know when it’s available so I can properly order a copy. 😉

        February 25, 2016 at 2:13 pm

      • No apologies needed, I hope you are doing better and hoping that things looking up sticks! I swear, as soon as I sort one thing, another one breaks, so I’m feeling you on the wary cycle.
I am waiting the proper, distributive proof at the moment for the book, I will be able to gift the book after I receive it. I just posted about it (took some guts, I know, silly!), you can see it on Lulu here : http://www.lulu.com/shop/mirjana-m-inalman/colour-me-in-cyanide-cherries/paperback/product-22575537.html

      • I’m so excited about this! 236 pages! (gasp) That’s huge. 🙂 Am I able to order it already? I do appreciate your offer to gift it, etc.; but I know all too well what it’s like publishing a book and PR and all of that good jazz- I want to do what I can to actually SUPPORT you. (I canceled one of my credit card payments, so I should be good to go…heheh.) Let me know when I can order it. 😉 A very big congratz to you, O! It’s gorgeous. 🙂

        February 29, 2016 at 10:25 pm

      • 236 ONLY, cause at one point husband said :”How about we save these for another book?” 😀
I think it should be order-able already from the link I showed.
I know what you mean about credit cards, I absolutely hate them, they just lure people to spend crazy. I just fought a 2 month battle to get my dad to close 4 of them, because he does not need them…

      • 236 pages <<< Haha…wow. So then, there will be more!

I just totally ordered your book and I have to tell you, I'm more excited to get it in the mail than any other I can remember. It's going to be so cool being able to read your poems I'm familiar with and be able to remember bits and pieces of my own life here and there over the past few years- like a linguistic trail of breadcrumbs that I'll be connected to. In that way, it makes it even more awesome. Also, I'm no "book reviewer", but I have published my own children's book of poems (back in 2004) and so I think I'm qualified to write one for you. 😉 (I'll be doing that soon.) I'm barely able to pop in here these days, carrying 5 classes and getting ready to graduate (and prepare for grad. school, etc.) but every little bit helps in the PR world and I'm glad to help in any way I can. You've been a constant (think math!) over the years, and a comfort to me throughout some of my darkest hours, so, thanks for that, dear friend! Damn PMS…heheh… x
